Sheffield Wednesday appoint Tony Pulis as their manager
Nobody cares that Barcelona candidates have reportedly reached out to Neymar or the fact that Mohammed Salah has tested positive for Covid-19, Sheffield Wednesday have appointed Tony Pulis as their new manager!
Former manager, Garry Monk, left the Hillsborough side, sitting 23rd in The Championship having played 11 games and only earned 6 points. Pulis plays the most boring brand of football in the world but he knows how to keep a team from going down. The man played 6 at the back against Chelsea while managing West Bromwich Albion. I mean I understand the 5 at the back with one target man to score on counter-attack, but parking the bus with 6 people is totally unheard of. If you need further proof of his monotonous style, Pulis deemed Serge Gnabry not good enough for his team. Let me just remind you that Gnabry put 4 past Tottenham in the Champions League. This man does not know to utilize any sort of flare are individual skills.
This will be Pulis’s 11th stint of management in a career that has brought him to the touchline on over 1,100 occasions during the past three decades. The last time Pulis was in the dugout was at the end of the 2018/19 season with Middlesbrough. We know that by playing the infamous 6-3-1 formation, the Owls will never go down.
