Daily Football Tid-bits: Ryan Giggs is arrested following suspected assault, claims later denied.

Manchester police were called to Ryan Giggs’ home just past 10pm on Sunday night amid reports of a “disturbance”. Ryan Giggs was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his partner, Kate Greville. The 46-year-old was later questioned on suspicion of actual bodily harm and assault before being released on bail. He has since denied these allegations and is cooperating with police requests. His representatives have released a statement saying “Mr Giggs denies all allegations of assault made against him. ” When speaking to the Sun, the Manchester police said “A woman in her thirties sustained minor injuries but did not require any treatment. A 46 year-old man [Giggs] was arrested on suspicion of section 47 assault and section 39 common assault.” The Welsh FA has since postponed a Tuesday press conference. In a statement they stated, “The squad announcement scheduled for [Tuesday] will no longer take place and has been postponed. The FAW is aware of an alleged incident involving the men’s national team manager Ryan Giggs. The FAW will be making no further comment at this current time.” There is still no statement about the rescheduling of the press conference with Wales due to face the USA in a friendly on November 12, before UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Finland in around 2 weeks.
